Home Accents

We always advocate that decorating with cushions is the easiest and most economical way to refresh your home. Not only do they finish off any look, but they make your space look warm and inviting. Whether it comes to living room seating, benches, or bedroom styling, adding throw cushions from Home Accents will pack a ton of punch. Home Accents is a locally-made Mumbai-based brand that was established two decades ago by a mother-daughter duo. In addition to creating a variety of cushion styles in different shapes, colors, and embellishments (think embroidered motifs, beaded fringes, and more!), they also make decorative tableware and gifting items perfect for the upcoming festive season. Being avid travellers, the duo draw their inspiration from design all over the world and translate their ideas into chic, trendsetting products.

Blue Loft

Blue Loft has always been one of our favorites sources for furniture and decor, and that’s because it ticks all our boxes: it’s well-designed, expertly crafted, and reasonably priced. They also make use of homegrown talent with most of their products being produced by skilled artisans in their workshops in India. Luxurious yet accessible, Blue Loft features thoughtful, contemporary design that promises to make an impact in your home. For proof, see how this sectional sofa is the perfect foundation in this family room! From beds and sofas to lighting and artwork, Blue Loft’s collection is built around pieces that work throughout the house.

Indus People

The antidote to this heavy monsoon weather is steaming hot cups of chai - and no one does ceramics better than Indus People, a brand that pays homage to India in its inspiration and production. With a visual narrative that encapsulates each of their collections, Indus People draws upon the colors, textures, and geography of India to create modern and minimal products. Their latest tableware collection in clay and pink draws reference from the Ganga with rippled surfaces and 24 carat gold Marigold petals. Their stationary section displays beautiful hard bound notebooks, each named after a different city and dyed in its symbolic color. Inspired by India and made in India, Indus People aims to capture the poetic essence of the region in all their offerings.

The Purple Turtles

What began as a boutique lighting studio in Bangalore in 2009, is now a home decor store that displays their own products as well as the best of Indian independent design. Purple Turtles believes in ‘made not manufactured’ and their in-house studio makes most of the products you’ll see on their website. The Purple Turtles envisions themselves as not a traditional retail store, but an ‘art gallery’ that gives local designs a platform to showcase their talent. While we love The Purple Turtles for the quirkiness that pervades all their products, their garden section is our go to for unique pots and planters, like this ceramic elephant holder that brightens up our work desk!

Founded by a mother-daughter team, Iqrup + Ritz is a contemporary homeware brand that works with family-run workshops to make handcrafted furniture and decor. Synonymous with beautiful design, understated luxury, and high-quality craftsmanship, Irqup + Ritz creates pieces in a range of styles from classic to new modern. Rather than being dictated by trends, their collections are influenced by a variety of aesthetics from different periods (which mean you can always find something you like!), and their passion for travel. Currently, we’re in love with their elegant, fully-upholstered Isolde chair whose clean lines make it an easy fit in any room.
